The Empyrean brings ISKCON’s world class ‘International Vedic Cultural Centre’ to Nagpur

ISKCON- The International Society of Krishna Consiousness also known as Hare Krishna movement is a global spiritual organization which is known for its beautiful temples spread across the globe. Now Nagpur too shall be on this global list with its ‘International Vedic Cultural Centre’ coming up at The Empyrean township of Nagpur. To ensure that Nagpur’s first FDI funded, fully integrated township ‘The Empyrean’ continues to be leagues ahead in the region it has offered a sprawling 5-acre land parcel to ISKCON to build their complex.

His Holiness Shri Lokanath Swamy says, “since time immemorial, the lotus flower has been associated with Lord Krsna. He has been variously described as having feet as soft as lotus petals, his eyes have been described as splendid as lotus flowers, his handsome lotus face as splendid as millions of moons and his reddish lotus hands decorated with various auspicious signs. Therefore, the logo of ISKCON is a lotus. It is only natural that the new temple of Lord Krsna to come up at The Empyrean Township, be a lotus temple. More so because, out of the hundreds of ISKCON temples around the world, there is none which is conceptualized on lotus.”

According to Mr Siddharth Saraf of Mergers “ISKCON today is a worldwide confederation of more than 550 centres, including 60 farm communities, 50 schools, and 90 restaurants; their collaboration with us will not only escalate the beauty of our township but also gives us a chance to experience the devotional aura of Lord Krishna and the temple’s marvelous architecture.”
